　ＩＳＮ(International Figure Skating)の羽生選手の特集記事です。　
　
　Hanyu’s preparation for this season, under the tutelage of
　 coach Brian Orser and choreographer David Wilson in Toronto,
　 was productive. “I wanted to be stronger and to have more stamina.
　I had to do more run-throughs and skate more programs and
　 I did that,” Hanyu explained.

　トロントで、ブライアン・オーサーコーチとデイビッド・ウイルソン　
　コレオグラファーの元での羽生の新シーズンへの準備は、
　実りの多いものだった。
　「僕はもっと強くなりたいと思うし、もっとスタミナをつけたいと思う。
　もっとラン・スルーをし、プログラムを滑り込まないといけない。
　…そして、そうしてきたよ」と羽生は説明した。
　
　He has kept his very successful Blues short program to
　“Parisian Walkways” and said he focused more on the long over
　　the summer.
　“I brushed up my short program. It is the same as last
　 year so I spent more time on the long program,” he said.
　 The long program, however, is also familiar. Hanyu’s
　“Romeo and Juliet” routine is set to the soundtrack of Nino Rota.
　He had previously skated to “Romeo and Juliet” in the 2011-12 season,
　 but to a different soundtrack by Craig Armstrong.

　彼は大当たりのショートプログラムのブルース、パリの散歩道を継続している。
　そのため、彼はこの夏をロングプログラム（FSロミジュリ）に集中してきた、
　と語った。

　「僕はショートプログラムをブラッシュアップしました　
　
　そしてそれは昨年と同じもなので、より多くの時間をロングプログラムの
　方に掛けることができます」と彼は語った。
　そのロングプログラム（以下FSと書きます）は、にもかかわらず、
　とてもお馴染のものである。
　羽生の「ロミオとジュリエット」は、ニーノ・ロータのサウンド・トラック
　になった

　Hanyu is following the trend of many prominent skaters this
　 season by returning to a former successful program.
　 He said he has his own reasons for this.
　“When the earthquake hit Japan (in March 2011) I was using this
　 music and in that season I finished third at the World
　Championships,” he said.

　彼は以前にも「ロミオとジュリエット」を滑っている。
　2011ー2012シーズンに。しかしこれはグレイグ・アームストロングに
　よる別のサウンドトラックだった。
　羽生は多くの卓越したスケーター達が、以前の成功した
　プログラムに戻ったのに続いた。

　“This music gives me a lot of memories and feelings,
　 that’s why I wanted to use it. Also, the Olympic Games
　is not something that happens every year,
　it comes around only once in four years.
　 I think you should show the result of four years,
　so also the music and the experience is the result of four years.”

　しかし彼は、これには彼独自の理由があると語った。
　「２０１１年３月に日本を地震が襲った頃、僕はこの（ロミオとジュリエットの）
　音楽を使っていました。そしてそのシーズン、世界選手権を３位で終えました。
　この曲は、僕に様々な記憶と感情を与えます。
　だからこの曲を使いたかったのです。　
　また、オリンピックはいつもの大会と何かが違う。４年に一度しかないものですから。
　僕は４年間の結果を示さなければなりません。
　そしてこの音楽とこの経験が、４年間の結果なのです」
